Disability Allowance
Disability Living Allowance - sometimes referred to as DLA - is a tax-free benefit for children and adults who need help with personal care or have walking difficulties because they are physically or mentally disabled. The only condition (apart from your disabilty of’course) you need to fulfill is living in the UK for 26 weeks without any interuptions. There are two components of this benefit : Getting arround allowance and Care allowance. Each of them are payable at three rates : high, middle and low. It depands on the level of your disabilty, which rate you will qualify for.
